What are QR Codes?
This square barcode was invented in 1994 in Japan by an engineer manufacturer in Denso Wave. Initially, the use of square barcodes was used to track vehicle during manufacture. This makes sense as Japan is one of the leading manufacturers of cars from Toyota, Nissan, Honda among others.
With the recent adoption of smart phone's cameras enabling to read the barcode, the use of QR Codes spread in all different directions form sectors to use cases. Today, QR Codes are used to direct users to the correct place. Users have different needs, and therefore have to be directed to different sites. Barcodes facilitate this transition.
